Thanks to Warner Bros., anyone growing up from the 1950s on knows about the roadrunner. Despite the artistic license and adversarial relationship with Wyle E. Coyote, the cartoon does a pretty good job of depicting the roadrunner. Yes, they are fast, running at speeds of up to 15 miles per hour. Yes, they are smart, one of the desert�s premier predators capturing lizards, snakes, birds, small mammals and insects.
